I was honored to be invited by Cube Group for a special dinner event for the VIP Bloggers in Kuwait with Professor Tareq Al-Habeeb.

It all started with an email from the group saying that they would like to invite me to the dinner and that they need my information so that they can be able to send me the invitation.

As shown in the invitation, the dinner was on Friday 18-05-2012! .. i know all of you will say “Taw elnaaaaaas”!! .. but i’m a bit of a lazy blogger .. i admit that!! .. its like a karma or something!! .. i remember when i was having my old blog “The Spanian” i was posting regularly and i was pushing on Jacqui “couchavenue” to make her post more often and stop being a LAZY blogger!! .. look who’s talking now!!

Any how .. i send them my information and they sent me the invitation and Ms. Rawan Al-Asousi were kind enough to follow up on that and called me up to make sure i received my invitation and that i will come and if i need more invitations just incase i wanted to bring anybody with me!! .. but i went alone

On Friday, by 8PM i was in Sahara Resort .. the place where the dinner is supposed to be. As soon as i entered the lobby i found posters that lead me directly to the seminar room.

Ms. Rawan and the CEO of Cube Group Mrs. Hanan Al-Refaie were welcoming the attendees in front of the door and introducing them self.

When i entered the room .. i found out that Prof. Tareq was a bit late and Eng. Nawaf Al-Meshri was having a chat with the audience where each blogger was introducing his/her self and their blog and what they mainly write about as well as why they opened their blogs in the first place!

after a while, Prof. Tareq arrives and it was Ms. Rawan turn to take the stage to give us a brief about Cube and then introduce Prof. Tareq.

Then it was time for the moment we waited for .. Prof. Tariq was on stage with a smile

Prof. Tariq told us that he haven’t prepared anything special for this meeting .. and that his wife used to tell him that she likes what he say whenever he is not prepared and that she don’t like it when he prepared!!

The Prof. also told us that he is “3ayaar!!” .. and he was playing with us the mind game where he get us to places that get us confused and searching for answers .. even if the answer is obvious!!!!! .. like for example .. we were mumbling when he asked us .. is satan good or bad?!!! .. or when he said is it a good thing if people see you as an arrogant person or not?!!

Then he started talking about life experiences. Then we were talking about how you should think and how you should look positively at things. Always try to take the inputs and then jump to the conclusion accordingly, never set a conclusion and start digging for inputs that support that conclusion!!

Then he started showing us how anger is broke down into steps in theory where it will start with a negative situation then anger will start, anger will get deeper, you will start attacking people, you will be in confusion mode before starting to release what you anger have made you do!

Then .. after almost 2 hours of discussions that you never wanted to end .. it was time for dinner.

Ms. Rawan & Eng. Nawaf were very kind with me personally .. i usually don’t eat dinner .. and they were worried and insisted that i should eat and try the food .. even if i’m diet i can eat salads as Eng. Nawaf told me .. and Ms. Rawan agreed and then added .. if you don’t want to eat at least have some sweet @@ .. come again @@ .. i don’t want to eat salad coz i’m on diet but it’s ok to eat sweet?!!!! .. maybe that was a new diet by Ms. Rawan that i should try one day :p (joking tra!!)

After dinner it was time for photos .. and at that moment .. i felt i’m a celebrity :p

we agreed to take a picture for the bloggers with the Prof. then bloggerettes will take another shot! .. and as bloggers you know that each one of us has his own camera and planning to post about the event so we need more photos!!

i’d say around 25 photos were shot for us while we were standing and from different angles!! .. we didn’t know where to look .. somebody was taking pictures on the right side, the other on front of us and one more from the left side!!

At that moment i remembered back in the days when i was on the red carpet in Cannes movie festival in the grand opening of my movie!!! (agool 5of 3aleena!!) :p

it was a nice shot, the picture was taken from newq8bride blog as i might be the only blogger who didn’t gave his camera to the people taking our pictures!!

and before we leave .. Cube Group gave us gifts to remember this event ..

It was a very valuable gift .. BIG THANKS CUBE.

It was one hell of a night .. i really enjoyed it .. meeting Prof. Tariq .. meet the fellow bloggers .. get to know Cube Group people .. what not to like about such night?!!!!
